When you have more pictures of your dog than anything else, you know you love her -- a lot! That’s me. From my first experience with my aunt’s feisty terrier to the playful collies and herd of cats my grandpa had on his farm, animals and I have hit it off. When my family welcomed our springer spaniel Max into our home, caring for him didn’t really seem like work to me. It was the exact opposite -- and I was lucky enough to receive the occasional lick of thanks and friendship in return.

Opportunities to care for friend’s and family’s loved-ones continued to arise over the years and the happiness I found caring for them told me that it was time to turn it into a permanent gig -- aptly named for the service we strive to provide -- HappyHounds.

Countless years, countless barks and no bites later, we've made many four-legged friends (of the feline variety as well) by giving them a relaxed and comfortable home-away-from-home or a daily house-call where a familiar face offers some midday relief.

For overnight stays, the extremely dog-friendly environment at casa HappyHounds provides a large, fenced-in backyard for chasing tennis balls -- or the occasional squirrel -- and general romping around.

For those clients who prefer to remain in the comfort of their own home, HappyHounds will pack up and move in, watching both pet and home while you are kicking back on the beach or working hard at your yearly business conference. When the typical 9-hour work day just won't work for your pet, HappyHounds will stop in for a walk, to put your mind at ease and offer your pup some relief with a bit of fresh air.
